Building Your Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Saturday, January 17, 2015, 2:15-4:30pm
Los Altos Library, Los Altos, CA
Guest Speaker: Attorney Soyeun Choi
Email messages, phone calls and meetings take place billions of times everyday in business to keep services available and keep store shelves stocked. As you contemplate and consider entering the exciting world of work, you’ll quickly realize that great communication skills are an invisible asset that helps finish projects, maintain interpersonal relationships and, most importantly, showcase your talents.
Whether you jump into a job or internship this summer or start looking ahead to becoming CEO, this two-hour workshop will feature first steps, instruction and tips on email correspondence and in-person conversations. Participants will receive guidance and immediate feedback from fantastic volunteer mentors who will facilitate activities in small groups.
It is never too early to start honing these skills!
Event is free and open to girls (teen-age and up). Feel free to share with your friends (and bring them along)!
